Skatepark of Tampa is inviting all girls to come shred, share space, eat free pizza and more

SPoT team riders will be on hand for free coaching.

Girls have always paid nothing to shred at the Skatepark of Tampa (SPoT) no matter what day it is, but the park staff has also reserved the last Saturday of every month to stage a low key meetup where girls and women of all ages can link up, chill and make friends. Vans has jumped in on the action with giveaways and free pizza. Local women skateboarders — including SPoT team rider Alexandra Bibiloni — will be on hand to provide coaching to anyone who wants it, and there’ll even be a private air-conditioned room if you want to talk and share your excitement in a more secluded setting.

Sat. April 27. Skatepark of Tampa 4215 E. Columbus Dr., Tampa. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. spottampa.com.
